3. Place the pendulum on the edge of the support with a wooden block, and use a notch centering template to make the notch of the impact sample in the center of the span of the support, and the notch surface on the impact drawing side.

4. Press the "Start" button and lift the pendulum. After the pendulum reaches the set height and stabilizes in place, clear all obstacles in the impact circle of the pendulum of the wooden board machine and move the dial pointer to the impact energy scale.

5. Press the "Impact" button and drop the hammer to break the sample. When the pendulum swings back, press the brake button. After the pendulum stops swinging, the impact energy is recorded.
